Set sail and experience the magic of the Bliss Mardi Gras Cruise!

Sailing out of New Orleans for the first time, this couples-only lifestyle cruise on the Mariner of the Seas sailing with 3,400+ passengers blends big energy and revelry with one of the world’s most iconic celebrations. The cruise departs the Saturday before Mardi Gras 2028 and returns on the Friday just before Fat Tuesday. If you’ve ever wanted to experience Mardi Gras, this is your moment. After the cruise returns, keep the party flowing with a hotel takeover in the heart of Mardi Gras. This will be a one-of-a-kind landmark event for the Bliss community.

For the first time, our winter cruisers will get to experience the Royal Promenade. The Promenade is designed to emulate an upscale European street scene, lined with shops, bars, and a 24-hour cafe (a great venue to snack and people watch). Featuring atmospheric lighting which changes color throughout the day and night, quirky art features and sculptures, the area is also a hive of activity.

The Promenade will host a variety of Bliss Cruise Meet & Greets, Bliss Cruise evening themed dance parties, Royal Caribbean Random Acts of Entertainment, and more. It’s a great place to gather, hang out and connect with all of your fun-loving friends.

About Our Ports of Call

Cozumel, Mexico

Just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula is Cozumel featuring great diving, snorkeling and beaches, marine-life encounters, botanical gardens, trails and shopping in the town of San Miguel. The Conquistadors first saw Mexico from the shores of Cozumel while searching for gold. Today, visitors to the island continue to seek out gold and silver jewelry in the shops of San Miguel while having a great time in its many local bars and restaurants. Plus, the waters around Cozumel’s sheltered coral reefs make this one of the best snorkeling areas in the world.

The nearby mainland is home to Tulúm, Mayan cliffside ruins overlooking the Caribbean. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the ruins of the ancient Mayan city, majestically perched above the turquoise Caribbean. The site was occupied as far back as 600 A.D. However, it was most densely populated around 1200 A.D. You will be struck by the pyramid-shaped El Castillo, which dominates the city from atop a forty-foot cliff. The nearby Temple of the Descending God provides equally excellent insight into the architecture of the Mayan people, who gained considerable achievements in the arts and sciences, only to decline and vanish for no apparent reason.

Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya, once a trading post for the Mayan Empire, is located in the Mexican Caribbean and is best known for its jungles, beaches, lagoons and Mayan ruins. Recent development and modern port facilities are making Costa Maya the perfect port of call. With so many activities, it will be hard to decide what to do first. Check out the Mayan Pavilion Park, which has everything: Mayan handicraft centers, swim-up bars, great traditional restaurants, saltwater pools, a 650-seat amphitheater, Mayan art and architecture, amazing water sports and great shopping. Take an exciting ride on a ATV or Mini Rhino through the jungle. Then take a break, relax and soak up the famous Mayan sun at Uvero Beach.
